Enrollment

Enroll when you’re first eligible, during open enrollment, or after a qualifying life event. Here’s what counts as a life event and how to submit a change.

Qualifying life events.

A qualifying life event is a personal change in status that may let you change your benefit elections outside of open enrollment.

Life event changes must be completed within 30 days of the event. After 30 days, you’ll need to wait until the next open enrollment.

How to make a change.

  1. 1

Confirm your change qualifies as a life event (see the categories above).

  2. 2

Log in to PeopleSoft and submit your change there.

  3. 3

Complete your change within 30 days of the event.

Open enrollment.

Open enrollment is the once-a-year window — typically in the fall — when you can review your coverage and make changes for the coming plan year without a qualifying life event. During open enrollment you can enroll, switch or drop plans, add or remove dependents, and update your voluntary benefits. Watch for the exact dates and instructions from the Trust Administrator each fall; the elections you make take effect January 1. Once open enrollment closes, be sure to review your benefits summary to make sure it reflects the choices you made.

Next year’s plan information.

Details about plan changes for the upcoming year will be posted here ahead of open enrollment. Check back in the fall for what’s changing.
